For patients who are uncomfortable with removable dentures (falling when eating or speaking) and the denture fixation adhesive does not ensure stability throughout the day, there is a modern solution 👉 implant-supported removable dentures.
Provides:
- Comfort;
- Easy removal and care;
- Stable fixation thanks to the fixation elements that connect the implant part to the plate (No denture fixation adhesive required);
- Effectively supports the prosthesis in case of severe bone loss, when implantation options are limited;
- Much lower cost compared to fixed or non-removable prostheses;
- They provide excellent support for the lips and cheeks, filling the space when the bone is torn;
- Can be made in both the upper and lower jaw.
Requires:
Minimum 2 implants in the lower jaw (optimally 4 implants) 4 implants in the upper jaw. In this case, you can have a stable removable denture.
If the number of implants is higher, e.g. 6 implants in the upper jaw and -4 implants in the lower jaw, you can have a non-removable or fixed denture.
Procedure sequence:
1st visit – Consultation and diagnostics (3D X-ray for implant planning and diagnostic form required, which the dentist takes during the consultation;
2d visit – Implant placement (healing period is 2-3 months in the mandible and 2-6 months in the maxilla);
3d visit– The dentist takes precise measurements and orders a custom-made denture in the dental technical laboratory, which does not differ in appearance from natural teeth;
4st visit– Denture fitting;
5th visit– Fixation and instruction;
Follow-up visits every year!
